The rules for the carriage of baggage and hand luggage are determined by the fare at which the ticket was issued. Each passenger can take hand luggage with them to the cabin within the established norm.

The ticket may include a free baggage allowance, or provide only free hand luggage.

The baggage allowance can be reduced or increased for individual destinations and flight periods.
The baggage allowance for charter flights does not depend on the fare at which the ticket was purchased and is indicated in the itinerary receipt.

Excess baggage

Excess baggage allowance is charged at the excess baggage rate. You can calculate the cost of excess baggage yourself using online baggage calculator.

If one piece of baggage exceeds 30 kg or 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions, this baggage is paid at the rates of oversized baggage based on the total weight of the piece of baggage.

Ski / snowboard equipment

On all NordStar flights, one set of ski/snowboard equipment per passenger is allowed to be carried free of charge in one common case, in which you can pack: one pair of alpine skis with ski poles or a snowboard together with additional equipment (boots, helmets, glasses).

The total weight of the cover is not more than 23 kg for economy class fares and not more than 30 kg for business class fares (the restrictions set for checked baggage do not apply).

Hockey equipment

Transportation of hockey equipment is included in the free baggage allowance. A set of hockey equipment must be in special cases in the amount of no more than 2 pieces (a case with equipment, a case with 2 sticks).

Hockey equipment must meet the carrier's requirements for weight and dimensions (weight no more than 23 kg, the sum of three dimensions no more than 203 cm).

For gold and platinum status holders:

Transportation of weapons, ammunition and special equipment

Air transportation of weapons, military supplies and special equipment (hereinafter referred to as weapons) is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the regulatory documents of federal executive authorities developed on their basis, the laws of other states and international treaties of the Russian Federation.

Individuals who are citizens of the Russian Federation are allowed to carry no more than 5 weapons and no more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, weighing no more than 5 kg gross,on an aircraft.

When transporting various types of pistols without packaging / case, the weight of the weapon for each unit is taken into account as 1 kilogram, for a submachine gun / rifle for each unit 4 kilograms.

Acceptance of weapons for transportation, registration of the necessary documents, delivery on board the aircraft at the departure airport and delivery of weapons at the destination airport is carried out by an employee of the Aviation Security Service (SAB).

Transfer transportation of any types of weapons is prohibited. In the case of transportation of weapons by a passenger, the next transfer, the weapon must be issued only to the transfer point, where the passenger must necessarily receive the weapon and issue it to the destination airport in accordance with the established procedure.

Rules for the transport of devices running on lithium batteries

Portable electronic devices powered by lithium-ion batteries with a specific power of up to 100 Wh (lithium-metal batteries with a lithium content of not more than 2 g), such as mobile phones, laptops, cameras and video cameras, music players, portable medical devices, are accepted for carriage both in hand luggage and in the passenger's checked baggage.

At the same time, in the case of transportation of the above devices in baggage, the batteries must be located inside the equipment, and the passenger must take measures to prevent their spontaneous activation and/or activation. The device must be turned off in checked baggage.

Rules for the carriage of liquids, gels, and aerosols in hand luggage

Liquids, gels and aerosols classified as non-hazardous in containers with a capacity of not more than 100 ml (or an equivalent capacity in other units of volume measurement), packed in a securely closed transparent plastic bag with a volume of not more than 1 l - one package per passenger. Liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 100 ml are not accepted for transportation, even if the container is only partially filled. Medicines, baby food and special dietary needs are excluded from transportation.

Restrictions on the transport of meat products

To the Russian Federation from the countries of the European Union (Austria, Great Britain, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden), it is prohibited to carry in hand luggage products of animal origin (poultry meat, ready-made meat products from poultry meat and all types of poultry products containing poultry products, with the exception of goods that have undergone heat treatment).
