NordStar Airlines opens new flights from Krasnoyarsk to Omsk and Yekaterinburg

NordStar Airlines opens new flight routes — from Krasnoyarsk to Omsk and Yekaterinburg. The flights will commence on October 29 and will be performed using modern comfortable ATR 42-500 turboprop aircrafts with a capacity of 46 seats. It will be possible to fly from Krasnoyarsk to Omsk and Yekaterinburg and back twice a week — on Mondays and Saturdays.

The aircraft departs from Krasnoyarsk at 08:30 and arrives in Omsk at 10:35 local time. Then, departure from Omsk is at 11:25 and arrival in Yekaterinburg is at 12:40 local time. Departure of the return flight from Koltsovo Airport is at 13:40, arrival in Omsk is at 16:35 local time. Then, departure from Omsk is at 17:25 and arrival at the Krasnoyarsk airport is at 21:00 local time.

Omsk and Yekaterinburg are the regional centers of the Omsk and Sverdlovsk Oblasts, being major cultural, scientific and industrial cities. New flights will open direct flight connection between Krasnoyarsk and Omsk and between Omsk and Yekaterinburg. Opening of new routes will provide residents of these cities with new opportunities for planning business and personal trips and avoiding stopovers and waiting at transit airports.

New flights will be performed under the program of subsidizing regional air transportation of the Government of the Russian Federation. NordStar participates in this program since 2015 and regularly performs regional flights from Krasnoyarsk to regions of the Siberian Federal District providing air communication between remote territories. Considering the high social significance of these routes, new flights will also receive co-funding from the budget of the Omsk Oblast. These measures are intended to increase the availability of air transportation between the three Russian cities.
